Day 4: “Saw” (2004)

The Saw series has made its name in the horror genre.The series has been known to be a psychological thrill ride meant to prey on the addictions of its harmless victims. The first began with a boom. From its cryptic “who’s jigsaw” puzzle to the blood and guts of people who were considered to need “help,” the story of “Saw” brings a new light into horror.  It gave way to genre of torture porn, which led to even darker and nastier films like “Hostel.”

I chose “Saw” for the earlier portion of the 13 days because it hasn’t yet reached the caliber in my list to be on of the first three or last three. The reasoning behind being No. 4 is that “Saw VI” opens nationwide tomorrow. This film is going to require an intense stomach and a lowered morality if you are watching it for the first time.

Enjoy, and remember that everyone needs some fixing. Let’s just hope no one takes it to this level.
